A happier wavelength
So we’re well into January now and the official start of ‘tough times’. As your friendly local personal trainer, I shan’t dwell on the negative, the T.V. can take care of that. Instead, I’d simply like to pass on the advice that one of the best things we can all do when feeling worried or anxious is to exercise. It literally takes the focus away from your mind into your body and triggers the release of mood enhancing hormones. Great! And I’ve yet to meet anyone who doesn’t feel at least a little less stressed after a workout. Therefore, I’d like to pass on some advice to help get you onto a happier wavelength.
We all want to be slim, fit and healthy but I urge anyone reading to make a decision to start exercising to FEEL HAPPY.
How can this be done?
Well, the answer is to set yourself a simple goal of exercising for 150 minutes a week. (The official health guidelines of 5 x 30 mins a week added together). This will enable you to get the results you want in the shortest amount of time, without the need for drastic dieting.
Sounds a lot, but spread out your weekly exercise plan can look like this:
Mon - 45 mins resistance training with your Miss Fit personal trainer
Tues - rest
Wed - 60 mins Miss Fit running club
Thurs - rest
Fri - 45 mins cardio session with your Miss Fit personal trainer
Saturday and Sunday off to eat healthily and spend time having fun with friends and family
OK, I may have mentioned Miss Fit once or twice but hey, this plan really works and is an example of how your exercise can be structured. There’s literally no thinking involved, just the commitment to allowing us to turn up and take you through your workouts. And perhaps we’ll try and make you laugh a bit along the way too (even if it is at the expense of our bad jokes!)
Each package consists of 12 sessions so you can start off at this level then decide to follow the plan in your personalised Miss Fit training folder. Or, you can opt to book additional personal training along the way.
The process will then conclude at week 12 with a repeated fitness test where you’ll definately be feeling fitter, inches will have fizzled away and who wouldn’t feel happier about that!?
